“You are now clear to engage the vehicles”

From the MeFi thread:

This video purports to be the gunsight view of an American AC-130 gunship targeting a compound, and its inhabitants and vehicles, in Afghanistan. Complete with battlefield audio.(5.5 MB, windows media video)

From a purely technical standpoint the processing utilised to steadily aim a camera viewpoint from thousands of feet up and the ability to target within two feet of a target is incredible. However the one thought rattling about my head whilst watching this was how much like command + conquer or cannon fodder it all looked like. I was transfixed by it and cannot start to imagine how the footage made its way from the AC-130 to a site on the Internet.
